L298 Motor Driver

L298 based Motor Driver module is a high power motor driver perfect for driving DC Motors and Stepper Motors. It uses the popular L298 motor driver IC and an onboard 5V regulator which can supply 5v to an external circuit. The module can control up to 4 DC motors without direction and speed control, or 2 DC motors with directional and speed control. However, the best setup is generally to control 2 DC motors in robots.
This motor driver is perfect for robotics and mechatronics projects and for controlling motors from microcontrollers, switches, relays for micro mouse, line following robots, robot arms and other applications. The board is controlled by PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) and can be used to drive current in either polarity
